In 2013, Vertex created the Vertex Science Leaders Scholarship to assist high school students in their pursuit of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) higher education studies. The Scholarship is a four-year, need, and merit-based scholarship and covers tuition and fees, room and board, and books. Scholarship recipients will participate in an internship with Vertex during the summer after their first year of college. Participation in the
Bottom Line Program is a requirement of this scholarship once enrolled in college.

Vertex has a broad commitment to support science education with the goal of engaging our next generation of scientists.To be eligible for the Vertex Science Leaders Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:- Be a graduate of a Vertex partner high school.
- File a FAFSA form, if eligible, and demonstrate financial need.
- Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0.
- Be interested in pursuing STEM studies and careers.
- Be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States.

- Transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
- 500-750 word personal statement
- One (1) Letter of recommendation (May include letters from teachers, guidance counselors, coaches, employers, etc.)
Completed applications must be submitted by March 1, 2024.
